Access means that all students
must have the opportunity to participate in the general education
curriculum.
The “general curriculum” is an overall plan for instruction that is
adopted by a school system or state, which identifies expectations
(goals and benchmarks) for learners to achieve at different grade
levels. In Florida, the general education curriculum is the Sunshine
State Standards (SSS). The SSS are statewide academic standards
representing knowledge and skills that students will need in order to
be successful in the world of work or in post secondary education. |
